Janine and I accompanied by bf and Janine's driver went to LTO yesterday to apply for a non-pro driver's license. Our original plan is to go to the San Juan LTO. We met at Mcdonald's Quezon Ave at around 6:30am since there are many people in LTO. According to this site, the LTO is at the back of sea oil gas station. Apparently, when we arrived there is no LTO at the back of Sea Oil. So we asked the sea oil personnel where the LTO is. he said that its just next to them, so we drove to the next gas station which is flying V and there is no LTO! we asked another guard in a village nearby and he said that it's inside the Flying V gas station.. gosh!! the LTO there is very small, now I can imagine why there's not much people going there because it cannot be seen! when we arrived at the san juan LTO, the guy said that there's no office that day.. It's holiday in san juan. whatever!!
Next stop, La Loma LTO... this is where I was able to acquire my student's license. We has our drug test and paid 300 hoping that we would be finished early. Sad to say again, the La Loma LTO is not issuing new license its just for renewal and student's license only. :( So what's next?
Third Stop, Tayuman Licensing Center. We arrived at around 9am i guess, parking is very hard there. We paid another 100 pesos for the medical in order to get our application running. We waited for 10 minutes i guess and the man asked us to go inside and submit our requirements to window 14 for processing. Step 3.. Photo and Signature.. next, Payment of 168 pesos for the written exam. We waited for an hour i guess or 2 before the person called us upstairs to take out written exam. We didn't acquire any reviewer like everybody else.. I just try to understand the signs posted on the walls if the LTO office. Oh! their written exam is automated by the way.. :) so exam time!! every question there is common sense, there's also some signs. When we finished the exam, we waited for another 30 minutes for the checking of our papers.. and good thing we passed! next!! practical exam.. the examiner asked us what we drive? and we both said we only know how to drive and automatic vehicle. So she asked us if we have a car? we said yes and then... another exam! practical exam.... We both passed again and the time? 11:55PM. We didn't go to lunch yet because maybe we would be called for the payment of the license which is 378, and they did! after paying we headed to lunch!
So after eating, we head back to the LTO office at around 12:45 in my watch and 1PM in theirs.. waited for the seminar to end at around 1:30 PM and another 30 minutes for our printed license. So at around 2PM.. I got my non-pro license!!!
