Failure

I don't know how to start this entry, its very embarrassing to say that the should have been "Achievement" became a "Failure". It all happened yesterday and I didn't have the guts to write it, but upon further thinking and further scrutinizing the details I guess I have to write it.

Yesterday was supposed to be the day that I will be so busy fixing up all the permits that I will be needed for the internet cafe that I have acquired. Well, yes that half day was a bit tiring to think that we were already in DTI (12th floor trafalgar bldg makati) at around 7am. So yes I was able to get my DTI certificate, left the building at around11am to travel back to caloocan to fix the BIR, City hall and Barangay permits. Upon arrival at caloocan we went to the internet shop that we will be acquiring. Wasted a few minutes chit chat with the owner about how did we go in DTI and also what we will be needing in the city hall. So! after the chit chat, we headed to the brangay which is right accross the street from the building where the internet cafe was, passed the requirements.... the secretary of the barangay chairman asked us to come back at around 5pm. We were devastated and asked why.. the secretary simply said that the Barangay captain is on lunch break and will not come out of his office until 2pm! (what a bitch!!!). I was really angry.. due to the fact that its pass 12pm already.. I'm very very hungry!. So we told the secretary that we cannot wait that long and need to finish all permits within the day due to our busy schedule at work... So she told us that we just tell the city hall that the barangay permit will be "to follow". So we had lunch.. went straight to the city hall... got an application form from licensing department, the licensing personnel told us that we should secure a clearance from the Zoning department since there has been a memo regarding internet cafe's operating near shools. We headed to the zoning department (this is where it all began...), the zoning department guy asked us certain questions like where will be the shop located, nearest school?, new applicant? we answered everything, then the zoning guy said.. "pasensya na... hindi ko to ma-approve, i-rereject ko to. May memo na kasi na lumabas na dapat ang mga bagong internet cafe eh 200 sqm in radius away sa school kasi maraming magulang na nagrereklamo na yung mga anak nila na elementary palang hindi na pumapasok... asa internet cafe nalang at naglalaro. Nagalit si mayor kaya eto.. wala akong magagawa." My God!! all our efforts are just wasted.. damn! the zoning guy just said that the only suggestion he could give is...

1. use the old permit with the old owner's name as the owner of the shop for 3 months, and upon renewal of the permit by january the zoning guy will ask (maki usap) the licensing department to allow us to replace the owner's name.

2. Back out.

So we have no choice, we rather back out than face future problems that would arise using the old owner's name in the business permit. We are not comfortable with the fact that there will be no trace of my name in the business permit. We are just avoiding future problems that will arise.

So we talked to the owner and told her about the situation, she said that she has a fixer in the city hall that will help us get the permit. We told her that we don't want any problems to arise due to this. in 2010 there will be a new mayor, what if that mayor has found out about our situation. It would be a little harsh on our part.... So we told her that we are sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused. :(

I know some of you may say that I am stupid in not allowing the fixer do his work. Well, we just wanted to have a business that is legal with no problems. With the current order of the mayor being executed, not following it would be a crime. We just wanted the business to be clean... :(

Breakdown

Currently at work now, doing documentation for all the tickets that has been assigned to me today (damn! I hate documentations). So while doing my documentation, asset-transmittal-ticket tagging, and half daydreaming. The song "Breakdown" by mariah played, its part of my play list.

I remembered something about this song, it was when I was in High School I had a crush on this guy that I have never before met/seen. Well Textmate-ing is "in" that time. So this guy was introduced to me by a friend, sad to say that this guy has a crush on my friend. He was asking me to help him win by friend's heart. Since I was this young innocent and kind kid, I said "ok, I'll help you"

The bridging of the two people ended up me having this hidden desire for the guy, I know he would never like me. I was a plump! I am not sexy (that's the reason why I had a hard time living HS life). So why did I fell for a guy whom I haven't met/seen? well, first he was so sweet.. he would always text me starting from morning to night. That time there is no Call and Text unlimited offered, nor is Sun Cellular existing. So my 250 load would just be valid for just one day. My mom would always be angry at me for wasting my load on this guy. Anyways, due to him I enrolled in an advanced 3rd year math summer class in Sakya since he was also studying there and that he also has summer classes. On the day that we will be seeing each other, I wore my best shirt and made myself presentable. Well how did it go? not good.... after that he never contacted me again... See.. I'm just so ugly! :((

So the significance of the song is that whenever we talk over the phone, he would always play that song in the background coz he know that I love that song...

Now what....

I already got the forms along with my payslip a while ago, good thing there's still time so I went to MESALA and submitted the forms. I will be able to get my loan within the next day according to their staff.

So what now? hahaha, I really am having a hard time adjusting to the next stage of my life. It seems like I'm diving into a situation that I am not yet ready to handle. But here I am now, and I know for a fact that I can get through with this. I already prayed for this and God has answered it, I will be praying next is the success of the shop and also for me to be able to manage my time, working and managing a business is not that simple. The only reason I have why I planned to put up my own shop is because of our financial status. My current salary is a big help but frankly speaking with me using only just half of my salary its not that good, the other half of it goes to my mom. I really wanted to give me and my mom a better future that's why I'd rather risk everything just to be able to give her the life that she has never experienced. I have a pretty dramatic life, it would be fit for teleseryes...

So back to the topic of my shop, I will be giving the half of the payment tomorrow after work, by wednesday and thursday we would be fixing the permits. Our target opening is on October.

Now Waiting

Everything has been settled now, the only thing I'm waiting now is the approval of my loan. Its already with the HR, hopefully by tomorrow it will be given to me. I will be on leave for a couple or days after receipt of my loan to process the business permit and other legal documents. Hopefully by next week we will be able to operate the shop. :)

A big leap

I have been planning to put up my own business, at have not really expected it would be as soon as now. Yes I'm planning to put up my own internet cafe and have already found the place for it. The place is just one jeep ride away from my place and is nearby the caloocan city hall as well as schools and the selling price is P550K. The price is quite expensive though and as of this moment we are still negotiating on the price, hopefully the owner would let us pay her in installment basis since I am going to loan the said amount for capital.

I pray that this would be a big success since there are many changes that would happen to the shop. hopefully I will be able to conduct teaching classes in it on the basic usage of computers. Also even conduct gaming competitions. I have many ideas in my mind right now, hope that financially it is feasible.. :)

I will post another entry on the happenings of my "Big Leap" :)

Vacation Mode Still

One of my achievements when I started working aside from having my own money and spending it without getting the consent of your parents is that I can go travel. I was really excited with my Cebu trip. I have been planning it since last year. Booking for the hotel was done in march, good thing I booked early because the hotel has increased their rates in May. My trip will be from June 12 - 15, departure is at 4:30 am manila time and arrival to manila is at 9:30pm manila time.

I have kept on counting the days and nights before my much awaited vacation, excitement has filled me though it would just be me and Jovey (boyfriend).

June 12 came, I was not able to sleep on the 11th due to excitement and also Jovey stayed in our house in order to lessen the taxi fair from their house to ours. We left our house at 2am and arrived at the airport at 2:30am. checked in, paid the terminal fee and also let the guards inspect our bags. Everything was finished in a jiffy, we waited till 4am to be able to board the plane. I am really excited.. this would be my first plane ride ever!

First Day:

arrived to Cebu at around 5:30am, we got our bags and the hotel car has fetched us up. We were not able to have an early check in to the hotel, there were no standard rooms available as of the moment. So we went to the taoist temple, got some pictures and lighted incense. afterwards went to the sto. nino church to pray and also light candles... We were really sleepy upon arrival and wished to rest. :( so we decided to watch kung fu panda in sm cebu but was postponed when the hotel texted us that the room already available for us. we headed straight to the hotel and slept till 1pm, good thing we ate rice for breakfast in jollibee.... 1pm came we woke up, took a bath and went to ayala mall to watch kung fu panda!!! the mall is nice, easy to get lost in. ate dinner at kublai khan (a P200 eat all you can meal).

Second Day:

We went to the beach! Tambuli Beach Club... we were so blessed to have encountered a good taxi driver that was willing to tour us to different places. after going to the beach we went to TOPS, while on the way going there, we first went to lapu-lapu shrine, got some pics of lapu-lapu and the shrine itself, went to IT park which is like eastwood here in manila. arrived at TOPS by 4pm. We were so amazed with the view from there, you can really see the whole cebu from there. the air is so fresh, its so relaxing... we waited there until the sun set to see the view at night. We bought chicken from sr. pedro and ate it at the hotel for dinner...

Third Day:

This is the day where we need to really be serious, its buying "Pasalubongs" for our family and friends here in manila. Jovey's friend Kris accompanied us to Tabo-An the place where the famous danggit will be found, we bought some of our pasalubongs there, she also took us to carbon where I was able to bargain a cebu keychain for P10 where in they sell it here in manila for P80. everything was cheap there especially the food but with big serving. We ate lunch at Case Verde, yummy baby back ribs and squid.. :) ate dessert at La Marea where Kris' friend Leslie drove us there, their oreo triffle was yummy... ate dinner at The Gustavian, fancy french restaurant with still yummy food. Stayed late that night since Kris and Leslie's other friends wanted to go gimik, we went to K1 at the Crossroads and they sang till almost 1am. :)

Fourth Day:

Final shopping for pasalubongs... we went back and forth to ayala aahaha... we ate lunch at Royal Concourse, an eat all you can buffet for P168 per person. :) left the hotel by 6PM and arrived at the airport by 6:30PM.

I really missed cebu, and will surely go back there again, and yes I'm still on vacation mode up until now... :)

Countdown to a special day

A few days from now, another number to my age will be added, of course its plus one. hey! I'm proud to be 22 years old. In this 22 years of my life I am to happy to announce that in this age of mine, I have come to be more matured in dealing with life's challenges. 1 year nursery, 2 years kindergarten, 6 years elementary, 4 years high school and 4 years college. To sum them up, I have spent 17 years of my life studying about the real world. Every thing is based on books and testimonials of my teachers/professors. It did somehow enhanced my knowledge and some of it is still in my heart and mind, and some of them not. after that 17 years, everything changed; from the routine of waking up everyday to rush to school and sit all the day in a classroom that is filled with kids the same age as you are and being bullied because your are much smaller than them, now everything is different. Waking up everyday would still be the same of course but now I have to wear make up everyday just to make sure that I don't look stupid when I get to work. The way I talk is much more different from before, I speak a lot of things regarding my field of work and money has also been one of the topics always being discussed. People in supermarkets and Department Stores look up on you now. Not like before that they would always think that you don't have money to purchase their product.

Many things has happened to my life and I am thankful for it since it helped me become a better person and evolved me into a more professional and understanding woman. I have learned the value of being humble in everything you do and say. It is not always that people would be all ears hearing you boast about your career and promotion. I have also realized that not everyone you call friend are true, there are some that would call you friend whenever they need anything specifically assignments. But when everything is done you would just be a mere stranger to that person once again. IT is also not frequently that people you call friends would understand you unless they have experienced it and forced their minds to open up.

Another year will come for me and I pray that I would be able to succeed in my field of work and be able to reach for my dreams. My birthday wish is just simple... its to be more humble, patient and understanding. Because with this values, I know I will be able to achieve my dreams.
